What are Virtual Numbers?

A virtual number in the simplest sense is a telephone number that is not directly connected to a telephone line. Virtual numbers allow companies to maintain a virtual presence in locations outside of their area. For customers Virtual Numbers look and act exactly like numbers attached to a physical line.

Example - Company X is based in Manchester (0161) they do a lot of work in London and New York. They want to present a local presence in London and want to enable customers from New York to call local rates. As the company is based in Manchester there is no possible way that they could achieve these results. Using Tpad's virtual number service both these results can be easily achieved, we can provide a local London number (0203) which is pointed directly at the companies Manchester office. Using the same service we can also provide a New York number for customers in New York to call Company X at local rates.

Virtual numbers are SIP based numbers and can be used with all of Tpad's telephone systems. Numbers available from over 40 countries, including all of UK area codes, SIP numbers are pointed directly at your phone system meaning you don't have to pay any divert charges. Numbers can be allocated to unlimited amount of inbound channels making them perfect for companies that take a lot of inbound calls.

0844 Revenue Share Numbers

0844 numbers are increasing in popularity throughout the industry offering customer a low call rate of 5p per minute and full online number routing control. We highly recommend these numbers for service departments. The online portal also allows you to view who is calling you, where they are calling from and identifies busy periods giving you a greater understanding of your market. With 0844 numbers you gain a rebate of 1.9p per minute giving you an extra revenue stream within your business.

 

0800/0808 Freephone Number
